FAQ

The partitions of the external HDD are all recognized normally in Windows XP.

In Linux OS, some partitions of the external HDD cannot be recognized possibly. How to solve it?

Solution

Please do the following steps,

1. Run the “Add/Remove Software” in Settings in the Linux OS when it is in the Internet;

2. When finishing the synchronization with the server, click the button as shown in the folloing picture to download and install the patch, “USB Storage Applet Update”, to solve the problem.

3. Click the “OK” button to start to download the patch and restart the OS when the system shows the interrelated window.

Then the problem will be solved after the system has been restarted.
