The setting parameters below all adopted China Mobile as default telecom operator. For local GPRS/MMS setting parameters, please consult with local telecom operator.
GPRS
1.Please go to start/setting/connection tab/connection/advanced and tap “New” under “Program that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using”
2.Please input ‘China Mobile Internet’ under “Enter a name for these setting”
3.Please change to Modem tab and tap “New” and then input ‘CMNET’ under “Enter a name for the connection” and choose ‘Cellular Line (GPRS)’ under “Select a modem” then tap “Next”-“Finish”. (no need to set user name password etc for China mobile)
4.Please go to Proxy Setting tab and tick off “This network connects to the Internet”. (Don’t tick off “This network use a proxy server to connect to the Internet” and IP address).
5.After setting, please tap “OK” to save your setting.
The settings above can ensure you to browse Internet through GPRS. After settings accomplished, please go start/setting/connection tab/connection/select netwoks to activate above setting and than try browse Internet (such as www.google.com) besides good GPRS signal quality.
MMS：
Before setting MMS, you need set a WAP net setting. We still take China Mobile as an example as mentioned before.
1.Please go to start/setting/connection tab/connection/advanced/Select Networks and tap ‘New…’ under “Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using”
2.Please go to “Modem tab” and tap “New”. Please input ‘CMWAP’ under “Enter a name for the connection” and choose “Cellular Line (GPRS)” then tap “Next”.
3.Please input ‘cmwap’ under “Access point name” and then tap “Next”-“Finish” to finish this setting.
4.Please go to proxy setting tab and tick off “This network connects to the Internet”
5.After setting, please tap “OK” to save your setting.
MMS setting:
1.Please go to start/messaging/MMS/Menu/MMS setting. Please tap “New” and the setting as below.
Profile name: China Mobile
MMSC: http://mmsc.monternet.com
Data connection: CMWAP
Gateway: WAP 1.0 Gateway
IP address: 10.0.0.172
Port:9201
2. After setting please tap “OK” to save setting and select “China Mobile” to make it effective.
3. after above setting , please try to send MMS for a try.
