When I tried to set up Windows XP in AHCI mode, I was unable to find AHCI driver. When I pressed F6 to load the additional driver, only RAID driver is shown in the driver list after pressing "S" to load the drivers. The driver disk is built by MakeDisk tool of the Support CD. Where can I find the AHCI driver for Windows XP installation?

Solution

The AHCI driver is present on the driver disk. Please follow the instructions below to find the AHCI driver.

When you see a list of RAID drivers, please press Up / Down arrow to move the highlighted cursor. You will be able to find the AHCI driver after several moves as illustrated below.

Proceed to load the AHCI driver, then the HDD will be recognized correctly.
