Troubleshooting :
Touchpad malfunction.


Solution

1: No reactions from touchpad, cannot move the pointer.

       1.1: Press FN+F9 or hotkey to turn on touchpad.

              1.1.1: Problem solved. --> Touchpad has been disabled.

              1.1.2: Problem persists. --> Set the BIOS to default.

                     1.1.2.1: Problem solved. --> Touchpad has been disabled in BIOS.

                     1.1.2.2: Problem persists. --> Contact ASUS service center for help.

 

2: Cannot single or double click the icons.

       2.1: Turn on the "Tap to click" function.

            2.1.1: Problem solved. --> "Tap to click" function has been disabled.

            2.1.2: Problem persists. --> Backup the data & reinstall the OS.

                    2.1.2.1: Problem solved. --> OS or virus issue.

                    2.1.2.2: Problem persists. --> Contact ASUS service center for help.

 

3: No reacation from the left/right click keys under the touchpad.

        3.1: Check whether "left click has been changed to right click".

               3.1.1: Yes. --> Right handed/ left handed setting. --> Using habit.

               3.1.2: No. --> Contact ASUS service center for help.

 

4: Numeric pad function unavailable. (F9, F5, X50 Series.)

         4.1: Press FN+F9 or hotkey to turn on.

                4.1.1: Problem solved. --> Touchpad has been disabled.

                4.1.2: Problem persists. --> Install Touchpad Extra driver.

                       4.1.2.1: Problem solved. --> Extra driver installation.

                       4.1.2.2: Problem persists. --> Contact ASUS service center for help.
