1. Backup

File Backup Windows File Backup allows you to make copies of data files for all the people that use your computer. You can also restore individual files and folders as needed. Please click Start—>Control Panel—>Backup and Restore.

a). If you've never used Windows Backup before, click Set up backup, and then follow the steps in the wizard to set a backup.

b). If you've created a backup before, you can wait for your regularly scheduled backup to occur, or you can manually create a new backup by clicking Back up now.
System image backup
Windows Backup provides you with the ability to create a system image, which is an exact image of a drive. A system image includes Windows and your system settings, programs, and files. You can use a system image to restore the contents of your computer if your hard drive or computer ever stops working. When you restore your computer from a system image, it is a complete restoration; you can't choose individual items to restore, and all of your current programs, system settings, and files are replaced. Please click Create an image backup.

2. Restore

Restore Files from Backup a). If you need to go back and restore files from a backup click on Restore my files in Backup and Restore Center.
b). To restore all users' files, click Restore all users' files
c). To restore files from a backup that was created on another computer running Windows Vista or Windows 7, click Select another backup to restore files from.
Restore your computer from a system image backup

When you restore your computer from a Windows Complete PC Backup image, it is a complete restoration. You can't choose individual items to restore, and all of your current programs, system settings, and files are replaced.
a). If your computer is still working and you can access Control, click Start —>Control Panel—> RecoveryAdvanced recovery methods—> Use a system image you created earlier to recover your computer, and then follow the steps.

b). If you can't access Control Panel, Please restart your computer, and hold down the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. On the Advanced Boot Options select Repair your computer, and then press Enter. Select a user name, type the password, and then click OK. On the System Recovery Options menu, click System Image Recovery, and then follow the instructions.
